SteerSafe
Partnership
Put the brakes on unsafe driving.

SteerSafe empowers legislators and stakeholders with responsible, evidence-based policy solutions to prevent speeding.
By supporting the advancement of Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA), we help shape policies to:
- Protect lives by preventing high-speed crashes through adaptive, accessible technology
- Restore independence for drivers seeking a second chance - keeping families connected and livelihoods secure
- Enhance road safety by advocating for proven, data-driven solutions that promote accountability and public trust

49% of people speed 15+ mph on freeways
Nearly half of drivers risk high-speed crashes, a habit that makes highways deadlier for everyone.

30% of people speed 10+ mph in neighborhoods
Over a third of drivers speed where kids play, despite the catastrophic consequences.
12,498 speed related deaths
Accounting for 29% of all U.S. crash fatalities in 2022, these preventable deaths underscore the urgent need for smarter speed management.
Speeding Increases Crash Risk
Higher speeds increase both the likelihood and severity of crashes. Speeding drivers have less time to react and require longer distances to stop or slow down. When crashes occur, they involve significantly more force, leading to more serious - and often deadly - outcomes.

How it works
An Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) device, about the size of a deck of cards, is installed in a vehicle to prevent habitual speeding. It prevents drivers from exceeding the speed limit and allows habitual speeders to continue driving, but at a safe speed.
-
Life-Saving
75% of suspended licensed drivers continue driving.
ISA devices prevent these risks by automatically enforcing safe speeds, saving lives before tragedies occur.
-
Trusted
Proven effective with 20+ years in commercial fleets.
ISA technology has been installed in more than 1 million vehicles worldwide.
-
Cost-Effective
A more economical solution.
ISA costs approximately $4/day.
